CF9 HUGE WISH
Ok, here's a wish for the next ColdFusion feature set. This is something that happens every so often and is a HUGE pain in the ass. Yes, you guessed it, certificate management for ColdFusion on the server. It would be a HUGE bonus to have a nice little gui in the administrator that lets you manage all those certificates that you need to work with when using something like cfhttp. (translate)
XD responds to user feedback
A brief note: A number of folks have questioned the XD team's decision to render their new INSPIRE publication through the Flash Player. I passed the feedback along to the design team, and now XD manager Ty Lettau has replied. (translate)
Flash 10 is out!
Source: draw*logic Mike Chambers posted that Flash Player 10 is officially live. This completes your 1-2 punch of RIA/game platform releases of Silverlight and Flash this week. We have just released the shipping version of Flash Player 10 (Mac, Windows and Linux). You can find more information on all of the new features on the Flash Player product page. You can download the player for Mac, Windows and Linux players from here. You can grab debug and standalone players from here. You can grab the release notes from here. Flash Player 10 is great news. Controlling Audio Latency in Flash 10
Adobe threw a slight curve ball with the long-awaited release of Flash Player 10 today. The release itself wasn’t the curve ball (although not everyone expected it to happen on thisdate). The surprise was the audio latency using the new dynamic sound generation APIs. Audio latency, for programs that synthesize sound on the fly, is roughly [...] (translate)
Hands on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic
Those are my meat-hooks handling that ultra-cool Nokia 5800. Luckily someone brought it too the event I spoke at this past Friday at the Nokia Research Center. In the limited time I had to play with it, I have to say that I really liked it. They really seemed to have freshened up the S60 [...] (translate)
Flash Player 10 released
Today Adobe released Flash Player 10 for download. Probably some of you already downloaded the beta some weeks ago, but now it’s available for download the release stable version. At the moment there is a lot of interest about Pixel Bender that will allow to implement image processing algorithms in a hardware-independent manner. In other words, it can [...] (translate)

SlideShow Pro with AS3 support
We're a little late with this one, but one of the most popular slideshow tools was recently converted to AS3. This means SlideShow Pro users can finally enjoy the speed improvements in Flash Player 9 and 10. (translate)
Survey results have us thinking
The survey feedback about the CFUnited 2009 event was extremely helpful. We realize that attendees want something reasonably priced and near city atmosphere. Having a venue that is easy to get to and metro accessible was important to travelers. We also saw that at the top of the list were Wireless Internet, Newer sessions, Good food, and Free Stuff. Some of the great feedback we heard: "Better learning opportunities. Maybe longer sessions, or more in-depth sessions." "Content that can not be had anywhere else but CFUnited, but with so many other events, I am not sure that is possible." "Having (translate)
Cruise Control, Ant, and Subversion
I run in a windows environment generally and thus I use TortoiseSVN as my local svn client. So, when I was setting up my CruiseControl installation for my current project I used Tortoise to initially check out the source code and then wanted to use the SvnAnt task to keep that version up to date before running any tests.Nice dream. It seems that one of the three clients involved in my efforts just didn't get along with the others. First there is the TortoiseSVN client, then SvnAnt, and finally whatever CruiseControl is using to check the repo. One of these three (translate)
